Work orders, from BOM to finished goods
Bills of materials, a full work-order lifecycle - release, material issue, finished-goods receipt, completion - and MRP netting against current stock.

What you can do today
Every capability below is labelled with its real availability status - we don't describe planned work as shipped.
-
Bills of materials
Create and maintain BOMs, including CSV import/export, independent of the Design Engine's configuration foundation.
Beta -
Work order lifecycle
Create a work order and move it through release, material issue, finished-goods receipt, completion or cancellation.
Beta -
MRP netting
Net material requirements against current stock to see what a work order still needs.
Beta -
Stage-wise shop-floor board
A visual, stage-by-stage view of every job on the floor (cutting, edge-banding, assembly, finishing, dispatch).
Planned -
Worker assignment & load view
Assigning jobs to specific workers and seeing floor load in real time.
Planned
A work order that knows what it needs
A work order is built from a bill of materials, checked against current stock through MRP netting, and moves through release, material issue and finished-goods receipt to completion - with every transition recorded.
- BOM-driven work orders
- MRP netting against live stock
- Full lifecycle: release โ issue โ receive โ complete
How access and records are governed
Role-based permissions and an append-only audit trail apply across every module - see the Security & Compliance page for the full model.
-
Role-based permission scoping
BOM and work-order actions (create, release, complete, cancel) are individually permissioned.
Available -
Append-only audit trail
Work-order lifecycle transitions and BOM changes write to the platform audit log with actor and before/after state.

What it takes to turn this on
- Confirm your item master and units of measure in Inventory before building BOMs.
- Treat this module as beta - pilot it on a subset of orders before relying on it for your full production schedule.
- Talk to us if a visual shop-floor board or worker assignment is a requirement for your go-live - that's not shipped yet.
- Assign work-order release/completion permissions to your production leads separately from general staff.

Frequently asked
Is Production ready to run our whole shop floor today?
The BOM, work-order and MRP-netting backend is real and in beta. The visual stage-by-stage floor board and worker-assignment view referenced on our Features and Solutions pages are still on the roadmap - talk to us about your specific process before committing a go-live date.
Does a work order check stock before it starts?
Yes - MRP netting compares a work order's material requirements against current stock so shortages are visible before you release it.
Can a work order be cancelled part-way through?
Yes - the lifecycle supports cancellation alongside release, material issue, finished-goods receipt and completion.
